About Jeff

I started running in February 2012, for fitness as much as anything, after having struggled on a hiking trip to the Lakes earlier in 2011. I built my strength and confidence to enter my first race - Sheffield 10-10-10 which I thoroughly enjoyed, but it was my second race, Meltham AC's Cop Hill, that hooked me to the world of Fell racing. In 2013 I ran 35 races and joined Meltham AC, where I won the Men's Championship in my first year. 2014 began with my biggest challenge to date - The Trigger - followed by my second biggest - being made redundant and setting up my own business as a dealer in Fell and Trail running books, and rare and collectible mountaineering and exploration books. I'm a regular racer and runner around the West Yorkshire Moors, and contributor the Fell Runners Association Forum, where I'm known as Dreaded Jeff.
